two "steps" back

Will has been trying to be on the move. He was blessed with those strong Cress legs so just recently (which is fairly early developmentally) he started pushing up with his arms and then up onto his knees. Usually from here we don't go anywhere. Actually usually what happens is he pushes himself up and then flops down on his belly when his arms give out. Today, however, he moved. He moved backwards! He pushed himself up, got on his knees lunged for a toy just out of grasp and fell about two inches backwards. He did this about 3-4 times until he was about a foot away from where he started. How frustrating! Just that he wants to do it so badly makes me believe that by this time next month, he'll at least be making that same amount of progress but only forward. :) We'll just have to see. In the meantime, here's a picture of his endeavor.
