Vacation 2009 Days 1&2

We are here, Ocracoke, NC! We have ventured over air, land, and sea to get here. Yesterday, we got on a plane and flew to NC, got on a bus that drove us to our rental car, drove in a car to the shore, and then got on a ferry boat to travel to the Outerbanks. I told Cy the only thing missing was a train. For a boy who loves anything with a motor he was in heaven all day yesterday.

We spent the morning on the beach. Will wasn't sure about all the sand. In fact about every third sound we heard from him for the first hour, was a whine or a groan. But then I sat down near the water and let the waves run over my feet and he came to sit on my lap. He didn't move or make a peep, he just watched the waves come in and didn't mind at all when the waves "caught us." Cy spent the entire time playing in the sand or the "giant sandbox" as we have nicknamed the beach. He wasn't too excited about getting even a toe in the water. He did a couple of times, but immediately ran out. We played alot today, but didn't take alot of pictures on the beach. Tomorrow. Here is Shane and Cy coming back from a short run down the beach. Will is chasing aftert them.

The rest of the day was spent taking naps and exploring the village.
